Senior Environmental Scientist/Project Manager
Davis Environmental Solutions, LLC is currently looking for a Senior Environmental Scientist/Project Manager with specialized experience in environmental permitting to join our team in our North Miami office. This is a mid-level to senior-level position with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the consulting or regulatory field. As part of our team, the Senior Environmental Scientist/Project Manager will manage multiple projects at one time, independently prepare application packages, and supervise field assessments in wetland, marine, and upland habitats. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting wetland delineations and a strong focus on environmental permitting. In this position, you will be able to manage schedules to meet production timelines for both public and private clients for a variety of restoration and development projects in Florida. To contribute to our successful team, we seek an individual that has the ability to train and supervise lower level staff, strong communication, and technical writing skills. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process environmental permitting applications for local, state and federal agencies
- Oversee wetland restoration and mitigation projects
- Conduct State and Federal wetland delineations and functional assessments
- Oversee listed species surveys for plants and wildlife
- Train and oversee lower-level scientist
- Maintain established relationships with regulators and clients
- Oversee data collection and project research related to project impacts
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree
- Additional helpful certifications (PWS, CEP, Scientific diving - AAUS or other certifications)
- Technical writing and communication skills
- Experience in project management
- Proficient in ArcGIS
- Ability to coordinate with regulatory agencies, other disciplines, and clients
